As a creative director, my workday often revolves around crafting and optimizing email communications for big brands. Not the spoofed playback buttons overlaid on a static image, or even animated gifs that simulate video, but honest-to-goodness sound and motion video played directly in a recipient's inbox....

East Carolina University Sues Cisco Over Slogan

"ECU has used the mark 'Tomorrow Starts Here' for over a decade, including in national advertisements and publications such as Forbes
," Chancellor Steve Ballard said in a statement.The U.S. university said on Friday that it is seeking damages for unauthorized use of the trademark, which it said is "a university-wide brand that represents an overlapping field of goods and services when compared with that of Cisco". A Cisco spokeswoman said the complaint came as a surprise.
