Private boards may soon be coming to Pinterest. When pinning an image to Mashable's Pinterest account Wednesday morning, we noticed a mention of "secret boards." We were unable to create secret boards or find another reference to them, however, signaling that this may be a feature that Pinterest is preparing to roll out shortly. More than half of the world's top brands now view Instagram as a major part of their social strategy, Simply Measured reports. The company's quarterly study of Instagram found that the mobile-only photo-sharing site has grown 35 percent among brands in the last quarter, quietly outpacing the growth of other social networks, including Google+ and Pinterest. In total, 54 percent of Interbrand 100 companies are using Instagram today.

Remember Pinterest? Have you used it lately? Lots of people are. Yesterday, a comScore study put it in the top 50 most-visited websites in the U.S. for the first time ever, with 25 million unique visitors in the month. That's a long way from Facebook, which was No. 4 on the list with 150 million unique visitors. Yet there's reason for Facebook to be seriously scared of Pinterest. According to Converto, Pinterest's revenue per click is higher than Facebook's at 18.5 cents per first touch versus 14 cents.
