Many E-mail Campaigns Contain Pricing Information

October 17, 2008

Do you include pricing information in the e-mail messages you send to your customers and prospects?

If so, you're not alone. According to a search of the E-mail Campaign Archive, a Target Marketing Group service that collects thousands of promotional e-mails across hundreds of mailing categories each month, e-mails discussing pricing information are very popular.

Between January and October of 2008, for example, a total of 14,510 e-mail campaigns were sent out that included pricing information in the body of the e-mail, according to the archive, which is powered by the Who's Mailing What! Archive, a database that comprises direct mail package details and scanned images. Industries that offered pricing information were across the board: consumer catalogs, special interest magazines, retail, fundraising, seminars and consumer packaged goods were just some of the industries represented.
