INDIANAPOLIS ( May 12, 2009) – Fabric and specialty sewing retailer Hancock Fabrics announced today that it has nearly doubled its email marketing revenue since November using ExactTarget’s one-to-one marketing platform.
Hancock Fabrics , which operates retail stores in 37 states and online, posted a six-month email marketing revenue increase of 93 percent following its move to ExactTarget in the fourth quarter of 2008.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Companies that track consumer behavior on the Web for targeted advertising without proper consent are near their "last chance" to self-regulate, the head of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission said on Monday.
Privacy advocates say regulations on big phone and Internet companies, such as AT&T Inc and Google Inc, are too lax, giving the firms excessive control over consumers' personal information.
