Meet the Staff

The editorial team behind eMarketing + Commerce (eM+C) takes great pride in bringing you the information you need to reach more people and serve them better, to market more effectively, and to increase revenue -- all online. The staff is backed by an Editorial Advisory Board that represents the freshest thinkers in the arena of e-marketing and commerce, and that will work with us to keep eM+C focused and ahead of the curve.

Melissa Campanelli, Editor-in-Chief
Melissa Campanelli is the editor-in-chief of Target Marketing's eM+C brand and All About ROI, a monthly print magazine, website and e-letter (The ROI Report) that's all about the integration of sales channels, including print/catalog, transactional websites and retail stores, as well as email, mobile, social media and more. Prior to becoming editor-in-chief of eM+C, Melissa spent ten years at DM News, where she was first a senior editor and then deputy editor. She's also a leading expert in small business e-commerce and author of the books "Entrepreneur Magazine's Open an Online Business in 10 Days" and "Start Your Own e-Business."

Thorin McGee, Managing Editor
Thorin joined the Target Marketing Group in October 2007 after spending four years as a senior editor of the consumer magazine InQuest Gamer. Prior to that, he was a freelance writer, Web designer and executive IT recruiter. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and History from Ursinus College. Thorin handles print and online production for All About ROI and eM+C, as well as writes and edits. He was named managing editor in December 2009. Contact him at tmcgee@napco.com.

Joe Keenan, Senior Editor
Joe joined the Target Marketing Group in May 2007, when he was hired as senior associate editor. He was promoted to senior editor of Catalog Success in 2008, and retains that post with the repositioned All About ROI. He also became senior editor of eM+C in that year. In addition to writing and editing articles for eM+C, Joe oversees The All About ROI Report, the publication's e-letter. Previously, he served as a senior editor at Reed Technology & Information Services for five years prior to arriving at Catalog Success. He also worked as a sportswriter for Montgomery Newspapers. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y.

Joe Boland, Copy Editor
Prior to joining the Target Marketing Group editorial team in January 2008, Joe worked for Montgomery Newspapers, headquartered in Fort Washington, Pa. There, he was a sportswriter and editor, covering high school sports in the local communities of Bucks and Montgomery counties. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in journalism. Contact him at jboland@napco.com.

Matt Ackley is vice president of Internet marketing for eBay and is responsible for its overall Internet marketing strategy. His day-to-day functions include search engine optimization and online media business development for eBay.com.

David Berkowitz is the director of emerging media and client strategy for 360i, a search-centric marketing agency. He helps 360i's leading brands in media and entertainment, retail and other verticals leverage marketing opportunities at the nexus of search engine marketing and social media. Regina (Reggie) Brady is president of her own e-marketing and direct marketing consultancy, Reggie Brady Marketing Solutions. She is a leading authority on Internet direct marketing and has held executive positions in Internet marketing at FloNetwork Inc. (subsequently acquired by DoubleClick), Acxiom/Direct Media and CompuServe.

Peter Cobb is co-founder and senior vice president of marketing for eBags.com, the leading online retailer of luggage, handbags, backpacks and business cases. During his tenure, Cobb has been responsible for marketing, merchandising and growing eBags' international presence.

Sheeraz Haji is an entrepreneur-in residence at El Dorado Ventures, a Menlo Park, Calif.-based early-stage venture capital firm that invests in the technology sector. He is also a board member of Convio, an Internet software and services company that provides online constituent relationship management solutions for nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Convio, Haji was CEO and co-founder of GetActive Software.

Professor Harvey Markovitz is a clinical assistant professor of marketing and the director of the Interactive and Direct Marketing Lab at Pace University's Lubin School of Business. Professor Markovitz has more than 40 years experience as a direct marketing, sales, and business development professional. Before founding his own company, HBM Associates Inc. as a management advisory service in 1981, he directed strategic planning, marketing, sales, administrative and financial activities within various departments of JCPenney and CBS Inc. He was also the president of a major media barter company.

Mark Naples is a partner in the strategic communications consultancy Wit Strategy. In past positions with 24/7 Real Media, Ogilvy & Mather and Kearns & West, he has lobbied for the "Baby Bells" as part of the Telecom Reform Act of 1994 and testified before the U.S. Committee on Commerce on privacy matters.
